5 Games to Watch Out For This Week

Another week, another list of quality games starting off the Autumn season. Big names and long-awaited titles are hitting shelves, including two Pokemon re-releases bringing beloved classics to current gen systems.

Pokemon Gold/Silver (3DS)

This Pokemon classic returns to Nintendo’s Virtual Console store on the family of 3DS mobile consoles. The Gameboy Color release came during the exceptional rise of classic Pokemon handheld titles, further enhancing the gameplay with new unique items, while bringing 100 new Pokemon to the vibrant world of battling pocket monsters. Look for the digital release of Pokemon Gold/Silver on September 22nd.

NBA 2K18

The long-running professional basketball series dedicated to bringing up-to-date rosters and teams to the latest gaming systems makes its annual debut with NBA 2K18. Take the game to the next level with high-quality graphics and competitive basketball action when this latest installment releases on September 19th for the Xbox One and 360, PS3 and PS4, Switch and PC.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

The fighting realm has stayed quiet for the past couple of months after acclaimed brawlers Injustice 2 and Tekken 7 successfully launched. Entering the change of seasons brings a new fighter on the horizon, and it’s one with a huge dedicated fan base. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite brings tag-team style fighting between to mega-franchises with a roster loaded with tons of popular fighters to stores on September 19th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Project CARS 2

Starting the official lineup of AAA racing sims, Project CARS 2 starts off the racing season with an astounding preview of a quality racing title. Just weeks away from Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport 7 and about a month from Sony’s Gran Turismo Sport, Project CARS 2 is the only of the three available for multiple platforms, and will compete early on with Sport for top VR experience. Look for Bandai Namco to grab an early lead on the racing scene once Project CARS 2 release on September 22nd for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Pokken Tournament DX

The highly acclaimed Pokemon/Tekken mash-up receives an overhaul for the Nintendo Switch consoles releasing this week. The Tekken styled fighter places everyone’s favorite Pokemon characters in the ring for a 3D brawler action title. With unique Pokemon abilities and various fighting styles, Pokken Tournament is another major title that the Switch console can’t get enough of.
